Robots for palletizing
A palletizing robot stacks finished cases, bags, or boxes onto a pallet, and a depalletizing robot does the reverse. The size of the robot is driven by total payload (the product plus a heavy end-of-arm tool plus any slip sheet) and by reach (stack height plus pallet footprint plus the infeed point). The first real decision is 4-axis dedicated versus 6-axis flexible.
64 matching models in our database, payload up to 700 kg.
What matters when you spec a palletizing robot
- ●Total payload: product weight plus the gripper or vacuum tool (often tens of kilograms) plus any slip sheet. Always derate.
- ●Reach: must cover the full stack height, the pallet footprint, and the infeed conveyor.
- ●4-axis vs 6-axis: dedicated 4-axis palletizers are faster and cheaper for uniform layers; 6-axis arms handle mixed-case and irregular loads.
- ●Throughput: cases per minute and the number of pallet or SKU positions the cell must serve.

Buyer guides for palletizing
Frequently asked questions
- How do I size a palletizing robot?
- Add the product weight, the gripper or vacuum tool (often tens of kilograms), and any slip sheet you handle. Always derate; never spec to the bare product weight.
- Should I choose a 4-axis or 6-axis palletizer?
- 4-axis dedicated palletizers keep the wrist pointing down and are faster and cheaper for uniform layer stacking. 6-axis arms add wrist flexibility for mixed-case and irregular loads at a higher cost per pick.
